Graphics in Turbo C++ v 3.0 Errata & Requests

This post is started to let you post the problems, requests related to the Turbo C & To avoid the repeated questions and error solutions posted in comments of the http://www.onecore.net/turbo-c-graphics-programming.htm post.

I am not going to answer any more support request here on this wordpress blog.

  • Turbo IDE is almost 20+ year old and also not confirming to the latest C/C++ standards.
  • I am NOT getting paid to answer your questions via mail. So bullying doesn’t work here. Good luck with that.
  • So stop sending mail ID here and don’t beg for answers.
  • I am NOT going to email anyone for any solutions. If you want answers, learn how to get it from the Internet.
  • Turbo C/C++ doesn’t work under Windows Vista onwards system properly. Learn to use DOSBOX or VMWare image for graphical work.
  • Check the Turbo C directories and change the options for it in the options.

This page was setup back in 2006/07 when there was not much help for this IDE and also for many programming related queries for the Indian students. There was no stackoverflow and many other helpful resources back then but now it is there and you should learn how to take help from these resources. Internet is quite matured now and I must say, you should learn to find solutions without begging for answers via email.

Avoid posting your email IDs here. I will not send anyone anything via mail. I have done this in the past and It didn’t worked positively as I thought it would. People are not helping others when they get help from others. I have done my part by documenting the code and helping on some questions, If you still can’t find answers, it’s your problem and not mine. I don’t want to work for free for those people who don’t appreciate the effort others put to make things easier. So I have decided to stop answering emails and sending help via mails. If you want answers, stackoverflow and other answers community are your best bet.

Always remember to pass it on what you learned, not work for free. There is a huge difference in between both of them.

Actually mine is not a comment. It is a kind of question.
That is, how can i synchronize an infinitely moving circles and shoting by pressing a key board key?

    Thanks.

    • 5 abhinav October 5, 2017 at 5:59 pm

Put it in a do while loop with a condition of function kbhit (); which seeks keyboard hits if and only if you press it otherwise it is neglected…
Move the circle by incrementing its coordinates in the loop

    hi,
i have turbo c++3.0 and windows xp .when i try to run any graphics program, and when the path in initgraph is “c:\tc\bgi”.
i get the error “Device driver file not found(EGAVGA.BGI)” i searched in the bgi folder and i found the file there. So even after being present there, i m not being able to run any graphics program.also i copied the egavga file into bin,on my friend’s suggestion, but still i get the same error .
when i use the path in initgraph as “c:/tc/bgi”,the monitor screen turns blank.and the only way to get out of this is to restart from cpu .after this i get an error :
“the NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction
    CS:9196 IP:016f OP:ff ff 96 ff 20.choose close to terminate the application.”
i have checked in options-linker-libraries,graphics library option is already selected “X”
i have also tried keeping the path in the program as “” and choosing the bgi directory,i get the same error.
i am not able to figure out what is wrong?
our sir gives many programs to do at home, and i want to do.please help me and please reply on my email id. please! please! please!…..

I’m impressed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s equally educative
and entertaining, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is something which not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I came across this during my hunt for something regarding this.

When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each

Is there any way you can remove people from that service?
    Thank you!

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something
which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex
and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
